Planning Permission Received - New House Windermere

We are delighted to have recently received Full Planning Permission for a high quality replacement dwelling in Windermere.

This project represents an opportunity to build a new replacement dwelling of high architectural quality that befits its landscape setting in the heart of the Lake District, and makes a positive contribution to the wider Windermere Conservation Area.

The replacement dwelling also provides the opportunity to reconstruct thebuilding using modern construction techniques, utilising local materials and new technologies to provide a highly sustainable, energy efficient dwelling.

The stone facades of the building’s lower level take their inspiration from the stone rubble retaining walls that surround the site. The stone envelopes the lower storey of the building, anchoring it into the hillside. This allows the pavilion style elements to sit delicately on top of this solid stone plateua.
